The Duxbury Recreation Collaborative (DRC) is an assembly of representatives from town organizations committed to providing safe, competitive, and multi-use activity fields and surfaced open spaces that are used harmoniously across all town programs.

The DRC is focused on working collaboratively to move Duxbury out of complacency and into an active plan to improve field condition, expand field availability and put Duxbury on a competitive level with peer towns and youth and high school sports programs.

Our mission

The Duxbury Recreation Collaborative (DRC) is dedicated to creating safe, inclusive, and competitive recreational spaces, fostering collaboration among town organizations.

Our goal is to elevate Duxbury’s field and recreation spaces to match those of our South Shore peers, while respecting our town’s commitment to conservation and environmental values.

Currently, our fields are under-resourced and seriously overused, but we see an opportunity.

With a holistic town-wide approach, with ADA compliance and environmental stewardship, we aim to transform our spaces into community assets. This not only benefits our youth athletes, families and seniors but enhances real estate value, boosts revenues, and optimizes expenses.

For Duxbury, we believe that a rising tide will lift all boats; that when executed, a town-wide solution to our challenges will benefit everyone.
